Phil Vagos

Phil Vagos

Phil Vagos was admitted to the Colorado Bar in 2002. He has been working as an attorney in the Denver Metropolitan area since 2008, with a focus on matters including Counsel to small businesses; Commercial Litigation; Representation of Creditors in Bankruptcy; Defense of employers in Sexual Harassment, Discrimination, and Human Resource issues; and Dissolution of Marriage requiring evaluation of finances and division of assets.

As a member of the Meinster & Associates team, Mr. Vagos brings a fresh perspective to resolving legal issues. When Phil  is not practicing law, he works as a Social Studies teacher for the Jefferson County School District or volunteering for Metro Volunteer Lawyers, an organization dedicated to providing legal assistance to low-income individuals seeking help with domestic issues. It is a priority of Mr. Vagos to fulfill the traditional ideal of citizenship, and dividing his time between practicing law, advancing education, and volunteering on behalf of society’s less fortunate individuals meets that priority.

Personal Information

Originally from Chicago, Mr. Vagos moved to Colorado in 1998 where he enjoys the contrasting lifestyle offered by a largely rural state. As a history enthusiast, Phil has a special appreciation for the Western heritage and enjoys Colorado’s museums and cultural venues that have preserved this aspect of American history.  A favorite activity is exploring the numerous nature trails throughout the state, particularly those with a historical background. As a complimentary activity to teaching high school students, he also works with both high school student and recent graduates to help develop their interview skills for employment, internships, and admission into military academies, and provides occasional tutoring to post-high school graduate students to help them meet the rigors of university curriculum.
